For phone calls and for an open ear listening experience, these earbuds were not up to par with Bose's usual high quality. I hope that Bose addresses the issues with connectivity and call quality in the future. I wondered how comfortable that is going to be. I then noted the piece that would hold onto the ear was not that long. It unwraps a bit then hugs the back of your ear. Not overly comfortable, but I figured it's a new design.I synced them with my Samsung Galaxy and turned on a pod cast. Even with the volume all the way up, I had a hard time hearing. Due to my larger ears, and the location for the sound bar cylinder, it sat way outside my ear canal.I switched over to music and found the same issue. Volume all the way up, very little sound. These were not designed for the slightly more gigantic eared people. I boxed it all up and started the return. So far, several days later, still no refund. That's over $300 that has not come back, yet.Overall, would I purchase these again, no. Not right for the average larger eared person. Sound was not there, comfort was lacking, and the price not worth it. | 2024-06-13 | 2.0 | Not worth the price!! | The idea of open ear earbuds is great and something that I was really excited about! But these need some improvement for this asking price. I tried these for a week and had some problems. The most major issue for me personally was finding the right ear placement. I had to fiddle with them a lot to find the right placement for maximum comfort and sound quality. However, when I did find the right placement they didn't move again. There's no concern with them falling out which is great. The sound is pretty good for an ear bud that doesn't directly sit in your ear but the bass could use some improvement in my opinion. Connectivity was another major concern. Throughout the day, I would experience crackling like noises which made it seem like the buds were struggling to stay connect to my phone via bluetooth. It happened enough to be quite annoying and was the deciding factor on me returning them. I used airpods for a long time prior to having these and have never, not once, experienced the crackling or bluetooth issues. And with a company like Bose, that should absolutely not be an issue. Other than that, I did enjoy the open ear concept and being able to hear my surroundings while still listening to my music. I felt safe while walking my dog and could talk to coworkers if the sound wasn't up too high. The immersive audio feature was great and worked well! The battery life seemed great too. I remember putting them in the first day and they were at 80% and left them in for 5 hours playing music constantly and when I checked the percentage again it was only down to 60%.
