I have spent a bunch of time testing and working with the manufacturer (via email) to no avail. They told me I got a bad camera and refunded my purchase. I purchased another PG1, over a month later, and it does the exact same thing!The 5x zoom lens (2nd lens) is also basically pointless. This lens is only active if you keep the camera zoomed to 5x (anything above 5x is also digital using the 5x lens). When the 5x lens is active the primary lens turns off (and vice versa). If you record from the primary lens all zoom is digital. If you keep the 5x lens active what you see is likely too far away to trigger the PIR motion detection. The only possible reason I see to use the 5x lens is to use the camera specifically as a license plate camera (as vehicles pass close to the camera). | This review is for the PG1 camera (with 10x zoom). I have spent a bunch of time testing and working with the manufacturer in China (via email) to no avail. They told me I got a bad camera and refunded my purchase. I purchased another PG1, over a month later, and it does the exact same thing! After dealing with them for months to try to resolve the issues, now they won't even return my emails! Buy at your own risk!The 6x zoom lens (2nd lens) is also basically pointless. This lens is only active if you keep the camera zoomed to 6x (anything above 6x is also digital using the 6x lens). When the 6x lens is active the primary lens turns off (and vice versa). If you record from the primary lens all zoom is digital. If you keep the 6x lens active what you see is likely too far away to trigger the PIR motion detection.
