Daytime picture and video are clear but not when you zoom it then gets blurry. So far that's the only thing that I'm not too happy with. And the power cord was long enough that I didn't have to use an extention cord. I think and I'm guessing the close I can maybe 5ft long, this was not in the descriptions when I was reviewing. The upper camera is stationary. Although you can aim it horizontally by hand during installation, it doesn't change its position after you set it. The lower camera is motorized; it can be moved and aimed via the remote app. It also has the ability to track motion, i.e., it can follow a person walking across its field of view and has several digital zoom settings.The kit includes - the camera assembly with mounting provisions - Wi-Fi antenna as part of the camera. Its data link can be wireless over Wi-Fi or wired via an Ethernet cable. - a short cable from the camera assembly with connections for power and Ethernet and a reset button. (The camera can be reset via the app. I suppose the hardware reset button might be needed if the camera stopped communicating with the app.) - 120v AC power adapter/converter to provide DC power to the camera - slot for a micro-SD card (card not included) - an instruction manual which includes a QR code for downloading the EseeCloud app, which provides for viewing and controlling the camera.The instruction manual provides comprehensive details for setup and use of the app. The app offers to sign you up for fee-based cloud storage for the camera's videos. Optionally, you can install a micro-SD card in the camera to store the videos locally. The videos can be viewed and downloaded from the app. You can set the camera to record only when an event occurs or to record continuously.The app allows you to set a motion detection area within the camera's field of view. The camera ignores motion that occurs outside the defined detection area. A second option is called Cordon mode. In this mode, you draw one or more lines on the view, and anytime a moving object touches or crosses the line(s), an event is triggered and recorded. I find cordon mode to be useful for a camera on my front porch. If someone delivers a package to the front door, he crosses the cordon line I've set, and an event is triggered. However, if I open the front door to pick up the package, I do not cross the line, and no event is triggered. This avoids a lot of needless recorded events.The camera is compatible with 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands . I tried mine first on 2.4 and then on 5 GHz, and both work fine.The product description lists the cameras as using 3MP sensors. Inside the app, the only settings I found are SD, HD, and HD Cloud. I set mine on HD, since I'm not using cloud storage, and the image is very good. That is CUSTOMER SERVICE.They sent me a SD card to try. The camera's file system appears to be done in a non-standard way. The camera filles the card right away with 230 mp4 files each 256MB. The first few files which account for the time the camera was running were fine but the others are empty. My guess is that the camera rewrites the files as it records. One is the main, and the other is the Ptz turret.It should be noted that the main camera is the only one that detects motion. The turret will not. When mounting, keep that in mind.Once mounted, the main body can be turned to adjust the angle of the main camera.I had to do this because I mounted mine on the side of my house, and needed to watch the access from the left rather than straight out..If the turret is watching the same point as the main, it will follow/record the motion as it moves out of range of the main camera... They aren't all that expensive, but luckily I had a spare. Otherwise, if you don't want to pay for cloud service, you don't get the still or videos of movement/people nearby. Now I am judging this based on a pair of security cams from a name brand that I have had set up for about a year and a half and have appreciated having them as they work with Alexa. Pros and cons of both - my name brand is a still cam so I cannot move it. I love that this one can move - that's been too cool! My name brand is solar powered and apparently has enough brain power to record events for me to check WITHOUT a card. That's a big deal as I had to scrounge and find that little card to put in this cam so it could record events. The name brand, I ask Alexa to bring up the driveway cam and while it takes a minute to connect and show me the live picture, it does so without issue. This security cam, no matter how much Alexa tries, it cannot bring this security cam up on my Echo Show. Now, both the name brand and this one have very good apps so I can look at the cam feeds through the app, THIS security cam has an app for my Windows laptop! AND I can have up to four of these cams showing on the Windows app. THAT was pretty cool.
