Don't buy these. | First off I'd like to say that you cannot speak to anyone at this company, Tractive Inc. no phone number is published and you will only be able to communicate with them through email and that's only when they want to respond. Their ad says the product uses GPS and cell phone coverage. However when you load the app it talks about radar and Bluetooth but doesn't explain.The product doesn't work as advertised. You keep getting messages saying your cat is not connected to the network and they'll let you know when the cat is connected to the network. Shouldn't I be the one in control of whether or not the cat is connected to my network in other words Wi-Fi. I sent them an email and canceled both subscriptions for both cats told them I was going to return the trackers and asked for return address. I never got a response and it's been over two weeks. Had I known that you could not speak to them on the phone I would never have done business with them. When googling the company I found an address in seattle. And AD came up for the better Business bureau in Seattle and it shows at least 14 complaints against this company. I don't recommend purchasing these devices and I do not recommend doing business with this company. Problem is that the rubberized gasket will tear over time and your gps will be left out in the wild. There is nothing transparent about this before the sale or in the instructions in the box. Are both conditions waterproof?2. Well if you lose it, no problem says Tractive, just use the gps to locate it - well that’s fine and dandy if there’s enough battery life (you receive a notification that battery is about to die about 20 minutes before it dies - not helpful for a cat on the prowl in the neighborhood).3. So you never find it and have to buy a new one. What the heck - even my $500 DJI mini drone replaces once for lost. But I have to pay Tractive $25 year to insure against loss for a $49 product?This company is so frustrating. So unless you have a huge property or a farm, this must be an issue for most people. For the cost it's very disappointing. It's an inconvenience for the cat and not worth any of these things in my opinion.
