My initial and biggest issue was that their map history is very inaccurate. The other issue is that there appears to be a significant delay in the tracking once my dog leaves the wifi safe zone. They have no phone support so you are rendered to chat with their customer service. They pretty much say I'm so sorry and forward your issue to the IT department. Initially, that took 18-24 hours for a return response. If you performed their recommendation and attempted to follow up with them, your clock starts over and it was usually over 24 hours for a response. After much frustration, I got better and faster communication with one of their IT personnel. They made some sort of adjustments and I did a reset but have persistent issues. I am hoping that the immediate tracking is accurate as that is my most important feature. The pros are simple: it is small, charges via magnetic connector, lower initial cost, app is ok and battery life is reasonable. The cons are the deal breaker. When trying to track, the connection time is SLOOOOW. I would frequently get “waiting for network”. That message would last 2-8 minutes as it tries to connect. Meanwhile my dog is off to the races and I have no idea where he is. I am rural but T-moble and AT&T all have decent coverage throughout my 23 acre property. My dog would leave the “safe” zone, no push notifications for 5 minutes - if at all. I would see him leaving the area, I try to track him and the app says he is IN the “safe” zone - no need to worry! Well that is useless.Yes, I contacted Tractive for support. Their help was tepid at best and they were unable to get this working consistently. In your area with different cell coverage, this may work better. I would advise not signing up for the subscription for longer periods until you test the product. I went monthly and I'm sure if I paid for a year, there is no way you are getting a refund on that. Most recently the folks that more out lawn left the gate open and one of our dogs went down the street and we received no notice from tractive. Thankfully one of our neighbors got to her and brought her home. The time one of our dogs was out of the safe zone tractive failed. Not finding this product very useful.
