You have to select one or the other. There are sliders next to each option. So, you have to turn one off to turn the other one on. But yes, you can record continuous to the SD card. The reason some say it does not is because some of the ieGeek cameras are battery cameras. The battery cameras do not allow you to record continuously. Only the wired cameras can record continuously. This Floodlight Camera is a Wired Camera, so It allows continuous recording in the settings of the app. The battery cameras do not even have a setting listed for continuous recording due to the camera being on a battery.
