The strobe light and alarm will usually thwart the raccoons, I am sure bear too, but the dear know our home is a safe home and just put up with it. When it is high wind times, put tall plants that wave in the wind out of the camera eye zone or that will also set it off, even if you have it on humanoid only. We have thermal windows so can't hear the short alarm from the front or back of our house, but the ieGeek icon on your cell phone will let you know which camera was set off. We have ours set from 9PM to 7:30 AM when we are usually asleep being retired. Other times it is deactivated unless you want to look yourself as to who is at your front door, in case it is a salesperson. Amazon will notify you when they made a delivery, but UPS, USPS & FedEx won't unless they knock once or ring the doorbell and dash to the next delivery. Very manageable for automatic uploads to the cloud and no climbing or taking down the camera to retrieve the 128G SD card. Once the cameras are triggered, it takes about 3 seconds to capture the video. I've only had a few things slip by the camera. I know this because my doorbell camera will catch the video to compare the times and video capture. . The sound and video are very good. The alarm is loud. The batteries only need charging every two months. We have installed the solar panels because we didn't have outdoor electric in the right places. They work well. We did not need a technician or an electrician. If you want this model to handle a place of business' security it's not going to do it.
