The cables it comes with should already be waterproof. Are you trying to say you don’t want to use the solar panel? It’s battery operated. If you don’t use the solar panel you will probably have to take it down to charge the battery every so often. All the ones I have seen have a usb end on them and have not seen any of these come with a cord to plug into electric outlet on a long term basis. I also have not seen any “waterproof” usb plugs, but then again I haven’t looked for them. We had about 3 months of cloudy rainy days and didn’t have a problem losing a charge from the solar panel.
