After you hit the power button on the side between the arrow buttons and hear "Power on" It will say "Bluetooth Mode" by default. double tap that power button which will then say "PF Card Mode" . It will then play you MP3s. Its tricky as you have to double tap the right timing. It will play in the order you had on that drive you cant shuffle yet hold arrow to skip song ahead or back.
