| Will this device play jpeg slideshows on an sd card or flashdrive? slideshows with short videos on the same sd card or flashdrive? |

I have not used these items, but listed on the side of the player are these connections, is a plug in for a game, connection for earphones, AV in and AV out connections, a slot to place a SD card and a connection for USB, and of course a DC plug in, along with an on and off button that slides. It has more connections than any portable DVD player I have ever had. I hope my answer has been of some help.

It has a 3.5mm headphone jack, you can use it to connect headphones or speakers. |

Ours was fully charged when we got it. I followed instructions and went by the indicator lights. I even messaged the company to make sure. The Red light will go off when fully charged. |

I only had to charge when I first got the DVD and it did not take very long at all. Maybe a half hour. I think it might have been partially charged before I received it. Not sure about that though. |

Thank you for your question. May I ask where exactly is the yellow patch you are referring to? If the yellow patch is on the laser pickup lens, you can wipe it gently with a cotton swab. The laser pickup lens is relatively fragile, and if it is damaged, the disc cannot be read. To prevent dirt from falling on the laser pickup lens when you are not playing discs, the cover should be closed.

I assume your LAP is covered with soft clothing and the heat escape ports are on the underside of the device. Your clothing is plugging up the free movement of hot air. Prop something under for + airflow. |

It gets warm but I haven't used it for several hours on my lap, "over heating?" I guess it depends on what you consider over heating, I've watched a movie with it on my lap and it was warm. |

I don't know if it is BUT I do not recommend this one. The sound is very weak and unless you are sitting directly in front of it the picture is dark and very hard to see so not fun to watch with others!!! I am so sorry I bought this model and should have returned it. Annoying because people said what great sound it has!! And I have prefect hearing thankfully. But the way it goes dark at an angle is ridiculous. |

I am not sure what you are asking that needs to be reset? I think it is set up when you get it and you can change the color or tint or contrast, but so far that has not been an issue. If it is needed it would be a quick fix, but I have not had to adjust it. It is very easy to use I think it would please anyone for the screen is large enough to see it easily. The remote as well as the control on the player are easy to understand and it plays very quietly. I gave it 5 stars because it is best one that I have ever bought. Over the years I have had several and this one beats them

If your car seats are fabric I would consider using a good velcro to adhear to car seat and dvd player. How about making two long straps that run horizontal across back of car seat and placing the dvd between the two straps. |
