They won't stick to aluminum, vinyl, or wood which are the most common siding on houses. You will have to mount as I did-- Two small holes in inconspicuous spot on eaves for each location. You will also want to put them where you can easily retrieve them by ladder as you will need to recharge them every few months unless you attach a solar charger to each of them.
