High 2.) Normal 3.) Weak. I keep mine on High and get the results I want. I never experimented with the other 2 settings of Normal and Weak. It probably would be the Weak setting for animals. The Very first thing is to download the app and register on your phone. Next if you skip the step and not review the easy setup instructions, you will miss the quick process and you must turn on your WIFI AND LOCATION in order for the program to would correctly. Then just follow the steps and don't get ahead of the steps. Each camera was purchased a different month. I did the same by not following steps and did not have WIFI and Location on.
