But I have 2 of these cameras and really like them for the price for what I use it for which is a porch camera Great pics for what I use it for which is on my porch near a mention light so it works great showing me if something is near my door but doesn't pick things up at a very far distance. Only works well at between 10-15 foot distance. It doesn't pick up any movement off my porch. I don't have a doorbell so I use them like doorbell cameras because I get packages in a lot. A couple really big negatives it will only work on routers that can be set at 2.4 ghz you can't even set it up if your router is 2.4/5G unless you can login on just 2.4 we had to get a new router and had a very hard time getting one that would operate this camera, returned 3 routers after setting them up because cameras wouldn't work. Also batteries do not run long needed to charge every second day with below average use. Would recommend buying a solar panel. Every time you charge the camera because of how it's mounted you have to adjust the camera. Which is a pain if you want an exact spot because the camera moves easy. Mine are under the porch roof I would have concerns if out in the weather because rain/snow might move the camera. Also without a solar panel you need to mount the camera in easy reach due to needing plug the cord in to charge so you also need to run an extension cord to charge it. | Julie Lague | 2022-11-29 |
| How do I set it to detect dogs and people but not cars? | 2023-03-18 | these cameras are rudimentary and work mostly but not always. go into settings and on your alarm settings, turn off day detection and night detection but leave motion detection on. this makes the cameras record every single thing, even wind. super annoying, but i need it because i want to see wild life and cars. if you leave night and day detection toggled ON, you will only get humans and sometimes not even that. if they drive up in a car and the cam doesn't detect the human through a car window, it won't record anything. if you have the money, get a ring or one of those types. maybe there are issues with those, too, but my Dad has ring and they work much better than this product. I finally got it up and running through Google play store. Fully charged it, mounted it and it worked for 2 days and then the WiFi wouldn't connect. | will this work with DVR units or software ?? | 2023-01-30 | Don’t buy this camera I have four that I bought at different time’s thinking I would get a better result but fact is they malfunction and won’t respond to remote panning, they get stuck in a position and they are late in responding to record movement often recording to late and missing the first 10 15 seconds of movement very disappointed, batteries don’t last long so I ended up buying solar panels to keep them charged because where I have cameras installed are not easy to get to, you don’t want that right? You want them out of reach so potential threat can’t reach & disable. So in full sun you might get a week to ten days on battery charge they actually don’t offer a solar panel for this particular camera but I was able to figure out which one I needed to properly keep them charged but still the other issues are ridiculous I even have fast Wi-Fi upload and download speeds and still the cameras are just slow to bring up on monitor/phone & slow to start recording even on a high sensitive setting | Deal seeker | 2023-01-30 |
