However, the top part (screen) sticks out about 1/2” or more which may make the player too heavy. I guess depending on the size of the music stand this might not matter. Also I note that sometimes when watching DVDs you may want to lean the screen a little forward or back to get the right lighting and picture. On a music stand you might already have a tilt.
