This 5mp smart detection camera can be fully compatible with the RLN8-410 with the HW version of H3MB18, N2MB02, and N3MB01. Find your model #. REOLINK has instructions for these next steps. Download lastest software on the computer. Unzip the file on your computer, transfer the file to a USB stick on your computer. Put USB in slot in back of your rln8-410, select upgrade from USB on your rln8-410. Takes only seconds to load. Get superb recording and viewing. REOLINK has some of the better online support. I bought 4 of these really high resolution cameras to compliment the 4 1040k that came with rln8-410. Now it's a 8 camera system I can view, and get alerts from anywhere I have a cell signal. | Hello what's the capture fps at max resolution? 30fps@4k as advertized? are there any limitations about what nvr\software for it? | 2022-12-02 | The highest resolution in capture mode is 2560×1920 which is not 4K, they advertise 5MP@30fps - not 4K specs. Using that as a starting point you will have to reduce quality based on what your recording (light source, filed of view, multiple moving objects, quality of local network, recording medium like is it a dedicated NVR or going to a personal desktop/laptop). With 1min of recording I'm seeing about 28mb file size and these cameras utilize the H.264 compression protocol, realistically a true 4K 1min video is in the 8gb range. My REOLINK captures are huge improvements from the last 1080p security cameras I used to record the same areas. The last part of your question nvr/software limitations is a bit vague as their are hundreds of nvr manufacturers and thousands of software vendors. Your best bet there is to call REOLINK support with specific hardware compatibility you plan on recording to, I had no problems on a dedicated Win 10 desktop and several android security apps configured the cameras without issue.
