We keep loosing our connection, not sure why. Does the phone have to be close to keep the connection? 2022-10-11 Our camera is about 50 feet from the house. I usually don't have a problem connecting to the camera. The only time I have had trouble is when the batteries are low. Or if something is between the house and the camera. Sometimes my husband parks his truck in front of the camera and I can't lock on to the camera. Otherwise, it works great! dasher 2022-10-11

Does E8 camera do real time notification to your cell when photos are taken? 2022-11-15 No it doesn't. You have to access any photo/video activity via Bluetooth or pulling the memory card. You can, however, view what the camera is seeing in a live mode. You see what the camera is seeing, but no pictures or videos are taken while you're in live mode plus most people don't have the time to sit and watch a live feed. Kindle Customer 2022-11-16

Does this camera connect to home wifi? 2023-02-25 Yes as long as it’s in range. If this is the main reason you are buying it, you will have to keep it close to your house. I think you can separately purchase Wi-Fi for the camera (not 100% certain). Mine is in the woods behind my house out of range so I pull the SD card and check the footage maybe every 2 weeks on my computer. David Storione 2023-02-25

Can it be turned off and on remotely ? 2023-02-09 While I don't think it can be turned off, per se, it does have a feature that you can set the times that it reacts to motion and takes pictures. For example, I have mine set to only take pictures from 6pm to 7am. I know this helped to extend battery life, so it most likely uses less power if set up like this. RAM 2023-02-09
