This variant sucks but if you could find the ash-47w 4mp variant go with that as they work perfectly where this 5mp has been nothing but issues for me since day one. I know it’s not a 1 cam issue as I bought 4 to use initially and they all had issues. The bright light can be adjusted off and deploy the IR lighting "only" as desired for night lighting. The flood lights enable "color" night vision and as an alert if desired for security. There is no optical zoom, so forget about the z. It does pan and tilt, however. The light indeed is quite bright so no need of night vision. I got a 12v 2amp power supply, cut the cord and added the length I needed. So it has a power cord and cat5e cable running together to it. Power supply is plugged in by the NVR.
