First make sure your phone andriod or IOS is in portrait position. (Vertical). Select the camera, then on the bottom left of the screen there should a domed icon. Click on it check to see that the white light switch is off. Then back out of that and the upper right is the settings select it go to advanced settings, light settings, white light settings make sure auto switch is on. First make sure you didn’t schedule the light to do this. The schedule option is kind of weird in that you have to schedule when the light is not on instead of when the light is on. If this isn’t the issue, then try these things in the following order: 1) restart (not reset) the camera. If this doesn’t work, then 2) delete the Foscam app on your phone and then reinstall it. If that doesn’t work, then 3) delete the camera (under settings) and reinstall it. If that doesn’t work, then 4) last ditch option: reset camera and reinstall (requires reading QR code on camera using phone). I’ve done option 4 while standing on a ladder. Not a fun thing to do. If these options don’t work then email Foscam support. They are pretty responsive. I’ve found the Foscam cameras to be pretty good. Kind of quirky at first but generally pretty stable. The IR and the White light actually play off each other. I had issues too. I finally got it to work by setting the IR to Schedule and White Light to Auto under Advanced.
