However the motion sensor on my camera has been much too inconsistent to determine at what distance its trigger is activated. I haven't found a way to use it as a full time recorder either and that's the reason I dropped the rating I gave in my first review. You have an option to subscribe to a paid service that will allow the camera to differentiate between automobiles and humans. Will I get motion alerts every time a car goes by? | 2022-10-09 | no. the alog. in the software will sort all other moving entities and only alarm on human form and face. the zoom on this camera and speed to move and focus is fantastic. i now have 2 and 6 other products across the line in multiple locations. also, i do not use the cloud service. all of the ones owned have an sd card slot so all alarms will record to it. if you want continuous recording, look into a dvr that can keep about two weeks plus. this way you are in control and you will save money because cloud fee is per camera. dont even need a calculator for that one in my case. buy it and enjoy it. | dr long | 2022-10-10 |

By default the address is assigned automatically by your router (DHCP). However, you can set a static IP address for each camera and then access the camera over your computer's browser (Edge, Firefox, etc) by entering the static IP address you set up. You want to make sure that you do not use a static IP address that another device on your network is using. You can see a list of used IP addresses by entering arp -a in a Command or Powershell prompt and then you just pick an address which is not used. | Paul | 2023-06-01 |
