| The night pictures and videos are very dark, do you have to have some kind of back light to see objects for IR to work? | 2022-07-20 | The pictures should not be dark unless your objects are far away - let's say more than 30-40 feet, or there is a bright foreground. Anything light in the original colors will show up in the IR as white causing the camera to adjust to show details in the “highlights”. For most, I remove the SD card from my trail cam and review it on my computer. I usually carry another card to replace it with the one intended for review if I have to leave my trail cam away from my home for continuous use. I replace that card again at the next visit to the trail cam. Your other option is to view your trail cam hooked up via the blue tooth to your smartphone.
