I too, find that the charge rate drops at times, with the same sunny sky. I would just remotely turn off my camera for an hour and then restart it, and it seemed to be fine. I'm not overly impressed with this system, as both the camera seems to pull to much juice and the solar panel struggles to keep it fully charged, unless you have a full day of sun.
