If you have a solar power 12 volt system using 12 battery backup will it work with the rlc-510 wa cameras? |

Hello. The RLC-510WA should be powered by DC 12V/1A. The power adapter is included in the box. We are sorry to tell you that it cannot work with your solar power system. |

The product comes with a 110 plug only, DC 12V that plugs into a custom port in the camera. BTW I've never been able to calibrate the motion detection on the camera to record only wanted events (Ring is by far more advanced and easier to use). |

The ethernet cable is used for set up.
After that, it will work on wifi if you have that available where the camera is located.
It can ALSO work connected with ethernet, but not both. Ethernet takes first priority when plugged in. |

Instructions do not talk about how to terminate the ethernet connector but mine came with an extra parts bag that contains a long sleeve, cap, o ring, and foam washer. I believe that is for weatherproofing. You would have to verify that with Reolink. For my set up I used a round universal camera mounting box and put the camera and wiring into that. it offset the camera about 1 1/2 inches off the mounting surface. I then sealed it with caulking around the box leaving a weep hole at the bottom. Another way would be to enlarge the wire pass through hole to accommodate the whole bundle and put some electrical tape at the ends but that would mean a large hole at the wall surface and less surrounds to mount the camera. The manufacturer may have a better solution, but my mounting box did the trick for me

This particular camera is wireless, hence the antennas on either side of it. It is powered by an internal battery that needs to be charged through a USB connection on the camera. If the camera is mounted close enough to a 110 ac outlet, you could leave it plugged in, which is what I did. I have the camera mounted inside the garage close to an outlet. The monitoring takes place through your phone using the Reolink app. |

It is powered by a transformer that is plugged into a 120v receptacle, not a usb. Power adapter is permanently wired and the cord has a quick connect phono type plug on the end that plugs into the wiring harness of the camera, I believe that the camera end is female and adapter end is male. Its been a while since I installed it. If you wanted to I suppose that you could make an extension with your own wire(matching original 2 conductor wire) and purchasing connectors or splicing, but be careful not to blow the transformer, I don't know if the manufacturer has a pre made extender. You would have to check with them. |
