| I have a brick house with wood (faux/foam) trim, how am I supposed to mount cameras with a magnetic mount? | 2022-11-15 | A magnetic cup, which conforms to the camera's shape, is on the top end of the mounting bracket. The other end of the mount has a circular base with three screw holes. Use the holes in the base of the mount as a template to mark three spots on your brick facade for the screws. Use a concrete drill bit to drill holes at the three marks you made for the base. Use a drill bit sized to allow the supplied screw anchors to be inserted tightly into the holes. Then hold the camera mount over the screw anchors and insert and tighten the three screws. Once the mount is securely attached to the brick facade, the camera will adhere snugly to the magnetized cup on the mount's top end. Note that the magnetic mounts should be used to mount cameras above a height that can be reached easily by a person standing below (otherwise, a thief may reach up and steal your camera). Suppose you must mount a camera at a lower height. The entire camera/battery unit slides into an outer casing that is waterproof and protects the camera and battery from the elements.
