The other one sits in a vehicle on the drive pointing outwards and still connects to the under stairs router in the house. It must be keep connected the camera. You should charge the battery from a wall wort first then install it with the solar panel connected and leave it like that. If you connected your camera to the cloudedge app, you can go into settings and select battery management to see if it is charging, if not, it will show the % charged. The panel provides enough power to keep the camera integrated battery going for at least a couple of months.
