However, the cameras do not work well using extension cables. Even a small drop in the power to the camera causes it to stop responding in the app. I ended up moving the AC power source closer to the cameras and removed the extension cables. The camera will still output images via FTP, but you won't be able to access it via the app with an extension cable. The PTZ functions would not work, especial if it was in IR mode. | S. They will only use the 2 gig frequency and ignore the others. Sometimes with older models you had to kick off the other frequencies while configuring the cameras. Once setup you could enable them again. A couple of the newer cameras do not care what band they use. Since the cameras are stationary, meaning you do not change their location, it does not matter that it is a mesh network. The camera will just grab the strongest access point. | S.
