One night I checked it and noticed that the picture was relatively dark, then it brightened up. You might want to shut the camera off, wait a few minutes and turn it back on. Your camera battery may not be charging enough during the day. Unless you have to, I would check it during the daytime only for a while and make sure the solar panel is getting plenty of sunshine.
