Why was this camera discontinued? what other amcrest camera is 4mp, 2k, 120 degrees, pan/tilt or better? |

Travis: While I'm not sure why this specific camera was discontinued, Amcrest has several cameras that basically meet your specifications. Your best bet is to visit their website and chat with their sales representatives to find the current model that best meets your requirements. I never had to because they come with one ,but you can maybe find the mtg on amazon or an internet search. |

Thanks ray, but no. the cameras are sold to be able to record locally to sd card as well. they worked initially but stopped with a software update? |

You have to do it at the camera's website, For more info, Amazons has PDF manuel's on the web page you bought the camera from, about trouble shooting, Good Luck |

I believe you hold the small green/red button on the back down, can't remember how long. The camera will turn and should reset. Default admin/admin. If that doesn't work Google their number or call Amazon they will help. |

What is the minimum focus distance? |

I'm sure that somewhere in the specs there is a minimum focus distance, but I don't know what is specified. However, my personal experience is that this camera shows things clearly that are within a foot or so of the lens. I have mine mounted on the ceiling in my garage and sometimes I adjust the tilt too far and it focuses on the texture of the sheetrock just in front of the camera which results in the longer-range image becoming blurred. Normally, when the camera is pointed properly, the image is within focus from 2-3 feet to infinity. Respectfully, Ray |

It does. It also comes with a C shaped mount. |

Yes it does. It also comes with a plastic mount you can use to mount it on the wall etc. |

I don't know. I have that problem too. Sometimes I have had to reinsert the memory card and reboot the cameras. I have also had trouble pulling up the stored videos. It does get frustrating. |

There is no reason that I can find for it disconnecting, I have 2 of theses in which the scan code on the bottom no longer works, and one of the camera's is less than a year old, I just switched brands |

It could be the distance between your modem and the camera, some router-modems are weaker than others, I had to put a longer antenna on ,an outside camera, |

Not sure what you are asking. Yes, multiple cameras can work on the same network. Yes, you should learn how to assign static ip addresses for each. Each camera works independently. To 'work together' you would need to run appropriate software on a phone, pc, or some other device like a NAS which could collect their separate data streams into a unified view. |

The short answer is YES, but your question begs a couple of questions. I'm not sure specifically what you mean by "can be network together." The Amcrest Pro app or web view service allows you to integrate several cameras within either service. To view three cameras you'll need to either have an NVR (network video recorder) or use one of the Amcrest cloud services (subscription fee applies to most plans). I have this specific camera integrated with five 8MP Amcrest turret cameras networked via an NVR. They were all very easy to add in the original NVR setup and they have been rock-steady for 2 months, readily viewed via the app. You might want to call Amcrest customer service and discuss your specific installation with them. Jonathan: First, make sure your Amcrest account is setup properly. You must have a paid account for the recording feature to be functional. The free account allows viewing only and no recording. If you have the proper account setup, then all I can suggest is that you reset the cameras and reinstall them. Respectfully, Ray |

I suspect you have a setting incorrect. (I am also a user and not from the company). If you go to the configuration center, click on "recording schedule" and make sure you have it set. Then return to the configuration center and click on "Motion Detect". Select your camera in the drop down at the top, then make sure "Enable" is turned on, "Advanced Config" is turned on and "Record" is turned on. Also, note the "Choose Channel" value. Each camera need to have a unique channel. Hope this helps! |

I use Blueiris to record with. With that software you can do almost anything with this camera. |
