Is this an actual ethernet camera that does NOT require phone app or internet to function? |
2021-11-18 |
Yes you can navigate to a webpage UI via the IP address of the camera. You do not need a specific piece of software in order to use it. |

Is this an actual ethernet camera that does NOT require phone app or internet to function? |
2021-11-18 |
Yes, this is an Ethernet wired camera, wired to the in-house Ethernet wiring.
The camera is capable of being powered using a POE router, saving the need to have a nearby electrical outlet. I powered my camera with a separately sold (or spare) power adapter and Ethernet through an Cat5 cable.
The night view (black & white) works well, clear, and the daylight view is amazing. |

Hello, you need to use the Reolink App/Client to finish the initial setup with the Internet, and then you can use it without the app and Internet access. Any further questions, please feel free to contact us via Amazon Message. |

Hello is this camera compatible with sdr-b74301n or sdh-b74041 unit? |
2021-11-07 |
Hello, we don't recommend you use Reolink PoE cameras with third-party NVR/DVR. Since different camera system suppliers may use different protocols, it may cause some compatibility problems when you add the Reolink cameras. |

Wont power on with a dc 12v 2a power adapters poe. dead on arrival or am i missing something? dc adapter confirmed working on another device |

That is a Poe camera. You need to use a power over Ethernet switch to power it up. Get a small Poe switch from a store and test it out |
Never know but true |

Based on your observations, and a little experience, I'd say you are probably the victim of what is commonly called "Early Life Failure" or "Infant Mortality". Sometimes they don't fail during final test, but wait until they reach the end user. If you don't have any alternate way of testing.... send it back. Reolink and Amazon are good with that, and the primary reason I work with them. |

Hopefully you didn’t damage the camera. The correct power supply is a 12v. 1amp. Not 2amp. |

i assume you mean you plugged your 12 V power adapter into the little cylindrical connector that is on a separate cable that splits off from the camera's PoE cable. And hopefully you got the polarity right - it matters! But you also have to connect an Ethernet cable (which is connected to your home router) to the camera's Ethernet cable. |

If do you have a micro sd card in the camera and they stole your hardware can you cek back from the micro sd |
2021-11-17 |
I don’t think the camera has any way to protect (e.g. encrypt) the data on the SD card. So if the camera gets stolen, you have 3 problems:
A. You don’t have the camera anymore
B. You don’t have your surveillance pictures (on the SD card) anymore
C. Somebody else has your pictures
If you have a Reolink subscription then maybe (B) is not a problem - your pictures are stored in the Reolink cloud - but (A) and (C) are still problems. |

Take the sd card out of the camera and try. If you configured your camera that you way. You should be able to see as much footage as the card can hold. Yes definitely believe you can |

If I understand your question, and if you have access to the SD card, then you can extract the card from the camera, and put the card in a SD card reader and download the images. |

Hello, if the SD card wasn't stolen along with the hardware, you can then check it on your computer by using an SD card reader. Or you may unable to check the recording inside via Reolink App/Client since it doesn't have an Internet connection. Therefore, we recommend you use the FTP function of the camera to back up the video if you are worried about such a situation. |

Do you have the 5mp camera without add card slot? |
2021-12-29 |
Hello, all the Reolink PoE cameras have a built-in SD card slot for our customers to insert an SD card. However, the kit cameras of the Reolink PoE system and add-on cameras like B400 and D400 don't have the card slot, which can only work with Reolink PoE NVR. |

Can this camera work on batteries and not on POE or electricity? |
2021-11-09 |
In theory yes. There is a 12V adapter plug you can attach to an external battery. Something like a 7ah gel cell but you would need it connected to some sort of charger or solar cell. Really makes no sense since you have to run a cat 5 cable anyhow for the data feed. |

Can this camera work on batteries and not on POE or electricity? |
2021-11-09 |
Hello, we're afraid Reolink PoE camera cannot be powered by battery or solar. It needs to be powered by a PoE switch/injector that supports IEEE 802.3af standard or a 12V1A power adapter. Any further questions, please feel free to contact us via Amazon Message. |
