This app is also used to configure your camera and view its live/stored output. The memory card plugs into a slot on the side of the camera body, and that has a rubber or plastic cover to protect from the elements if used outdoors. In harsher environments, a slip-on cover for the whole camera body may be helpful, although it will have to be removed to change batteries. I keep the Argus 2 and other devices on a separate subnet with separate access point. It is all self-contained; nothing internet dependent. The phone must be switched between access points the way I have implemented this. You may have another approach. The SD card has plenty of storage; no problem there. The battery life is more than 2 months in my case; good enough but not great since I drag out a ladder to retrieve it to charge. Gripe 1; it is sometimes slow to connect (phone to camera).
