| Will this camera work with the swdvk-1645812wl system? | 2020-06-16 | No, it won't work. The system you mention, which I looked up on the internet, operates 1080p cameras with a 1080p dvr system. I have found that security cameras, don't have to be the same brand but they must match up to a dvr in scanning, connectivity and must be equal or upward compatible in resolution. This means the cameras resolution must be equal or lower than the dvr's resolution capability. The camera I purchased is rated at 5 megapixels and I have a 5 megapixel dvr security system. In my system, I have two 1080p cameras along with several 5 megapixel cameras and they all work together beautifully because they are all equal or lower than the capacity of my 5mp dvr system. In short, the resolution of the camera can not be greater than resolution the dvr can interpret. You may want to find out from the DVR manufacturer what cameras are compatible to your system. | R. There is a second black screen that comes once a week because the unit is updating itself and when you get that one you have to enter the user name and password and it will come back.
