can i use this system hard wired only without wifi? 2022-12-30 Most do have the option to be hard wired if you play the video of this system it shows the back of the dvr and it uses BNC cables and a cat5 or cat6 cable input if the dvr was only a wireless type it would state it in the description. so yes this Zosi 1080p system pictured does not need wifi I hook mine into my router and ran a cat5 cable under my floor to my bedroom to a laptop so I can view my camera's 24x7 using my network. If not, e-mail zosi support and they should be able to a least give you a model number compatible with your DVR, If it's fairly new, they might replace it after 8 or 10 emails. Can you see license plates with these camera 2023-04-05 Yes, and no. At night, the IR lights up a plate but you won't be able to see the digits because of the reflective materiel on the plate. During the day, yes, if the plate is close enough to see normally or with zoom on and/or with the help of the HD mode. If the plate is too far, the image will be unreadable. Hope this helps! Camera night monitoring mainly relies on the diffuse reflection of infrared light / white light from the object. After turning on the infrared light / white light, the infrared light / white light will irradiate the license plate, and it will be directly reflected from the license plate back to the lens, causing the license plate to appear as white sequins in the output image. Do these have 2 way audio? 2022-12-13 No I don't think so mine is not the exact same model but I've had two different Zosi systems and both only had one way, sound coming from a mic and I had to order a different cable and a mic and you will need a speaker system to hear the sound coming from the dvr. now the recorded video play back had sound when I copied it to a usb flash drive and reviewed it from my computer. but the audio came from the mic that I hooked up not from the camera its self.
