I can’t connect my canary flex. i bought it in america for use in nigeria. why is it not connecting? |

Here is a little more information related to the WiFi requirements for the Flex to work properly.
What type of network is supported?
The Canary Flex is compatible with both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n) networks.
Is there a minimum internet connection speed required to use Canary Flex?
While some Canary Flex features may work with slower network upload speeds, Canary Flex requires a network upload speed of at least one megabit per second (1 Mbps) for an optimal experience.
Visit www.speedtest.net to run a speed test on your network to determine if it meets the minimum requirements. If the results show that your upload speed is below 1 Mbps or if your ping is above 180 ms, you may experience inconsistent service.
What Wi-Fi channels are supported by Canary Flex?

What networks does Canary Flex not support?
For an optimal Canary experience, the following types of networks should be avoided, or might not even work with at all.
Mobile hotspots
Guest networks
Networks that require a sign-in page, such as coffee shops, hotels or airports
Slow networks, such as DSL internet services, with less than 2MBs of bandwidth
Mobile hotspots in particular are a method that some people use to connect to the Internet in their home, which are usually provided by cellular carriers. The way that mobile hotspots connect to the Internet is different than standard Internet Service Providers (ISPs), and while it may work, we don’t recommend that you use them with any Canary device.

We would get several weeks depending on how much it's detecting motion. More notifications, less battery life. We are very unhappy with the quality of the camera though. One was replaced under warranty, but even the second hasn't been great. We are seriously considering a different brand. |

This is not such an easy question to answer as the battery life depends on use.
Canary Flex devices have a rechargeable battery designed to last months on a single charge with normal usage.
How long the battery lasts and what defines normal usage depends on a number of factors, including Watch Live usage, how much motion activity is in the area, whether night vision is activated, your Wi-Fi router/environment, the temperature, and placement of the device.
Canary Flex uses the most energy when recording motion with night vision activated. The more activity it is detecting daily and the longer it is activated, the more battery it will use. Motion detection will reduce your battery from 1-2 months on a full charge to less than a week if recording constantly.
To reduce the frequency of recorded activity, configure your device to be set to private while in Home mode and turn on Auto-mode switching, especially if the device is indoors. You can customize Auto-mode switching in your Modes settings.

No and don't buy it its garbage. They won't stand behind the product mine broke and they wouldn't replace it. It was constantly off line. And I was constantly charging it. Look at eufy so far the best I've had easy to hook up and the charge lasts 6 months sometimes longer depending on how you set it to record. |

Hi there - this is the newest hardware version Flex. When you connect for the first time, the system will automatically attempt a firmware update. You can also write to customer service with your serial number and ask for a firmware update if there is a new release in stages. |

Yes you can, I have some in OH and some in Costa Rica. You will need a hue bridge on each location. Within the app you’ll select which hue bridge you want to see and control. |

Hi there - you absolutely can move the camera from one home to another.
If you have Premium on the old location, the best way is to update the address of the location in the app, update the WiFi AND the geofencing. Our customer service team is happy to help.
If you do not have Premium Service, simply remove the device from the location and create a new location and install it there.
• Open the Canary App
• Tap the three lines in the top right corner of the Home screen
• Select your location
• Tap ‘Device Settings’
• Tap on the name of Canary you wish to remove
• Tap ‘About this Canary’
• Tap ‘Remove Device’
• Enter your Canary password
• Tap ‘Remove'

Hi there, to activate your Premium Service - Refer to the Order Confirmation Email you received after purchase and look for your Premium Service (Membership) Promo Code in the format of cnry-xxxxxx. To activate Premium Service (Membership), you must first receive your Canary devices, download the Canary app, and complete the device setup process. Redeem your Canary Membership Promo Code only after you have completed setup of all Canary devices at your location. Once all devices are online, follow these steps to activate Canary Premium Service (Membership):
1. Login to my.canary.is
2. Select the location you would like to manage
3. Click Activate Premium Service

You choose Premium annual and at checkout enter the code and your cost is zero for the year. |
