| How well does the night vision work on a total pitch black environment? | 2022-12-21 | The camera has infrared, which is not like live colors, but certainly discernable. That said: After 2 years or so, I would never buy another Yi product again. I have several cameras that will detect motion, but the videos are blanked out. This is because apparently, the manufacturer of the camera stopped paying the app developer and the short videos are no longer provided. The issues is that both the manufacturer and the app developer are the same company using two different names. I would recommend looking elsewhere, unless you want to pay for a subscription that is riddled with poor reviews, and people claiming its a SCAM. Mine was speaking a language I couldn’t identify. Other aspects of set up were difficult. Decided to charge it overnight and things mostly resolved themselves.
