| can i set this up so the camera records 24 hours a day? | 2023-04-06 | I am not absolutely sure but I don't think so as it is motion sensor operated and I can't see any option in the app for continuous recording. I highly doubt it as the power source is a small pv panel and the power supply would simply run out. As a motion sensor operated camera, I cannot fault it, or the Vico app (although it is so comprehensive it is hard at times to find what you are looking for). It is great value, and, importantly, the pv panel does keep it running. Be aware, though, that you do need to know you can get internet to it. As it happens, I have a booster in a socket in the wall behind it so I was lucky but given that it is outside it is something to bear in mind, unless you can get a cat 7 cable to it as from recollection I think that is an option, but do check. | ALEC MACLEOD | 2023-04-06 |

Your security camera only uses the 2.4Ghz band. The easy way is to place your camera near the router and try to set it up as per the manual. If this doesn't work then go into your router set up and turn off the 5Ghz band. Guides on line, but easy to do. Re- set up your camera on the 2.4 Ghz by default. If that works relocate the camera to end position and see if it receives a strong enough signal from the router. If not you may need to revise the location of the camera or the router. In my case, low signal, I just bought a TP Link signal extender. Don't forget to put the 5Ghz band back on your router. Hope this helps. | GRM | 2023-05-10 |
