What I had to do was buy two smaller extension cables. one of the ends is actually an adapter to allow you to join two cables together. Also I think there may be an optimum length because I needed a longer run but found that the camera would not power up with the very long cable. Sound alarm only, 2. Light alarm only, 3. Sound and light alarm, you can choose the mode that suits you. If you don't need the sound, you can turn it off directly, or choose the light-only alarm mode. Also, this is a good suggestion and we will pass it back to the manufacturer.
