I had to buy an extended USB to reach the powered plug source. You also have to be aware that the drilling through the wall has to fit a USB through it. It would have been much more simple if the connection was at the camera and wire extensions were round to fit through the wall with same size drill piece. Unfortunately had to patch up wall once wire was fed through. It is wireless as in wifi controllable through the app...which works great as long as you are in range of your wifi. Make sure it's near your wifi router when doing the first set up.
