Click on Spotlight which brings up modes and shows Night Smart Mode click this and there’s two Options Off and Night Smart Mode which should be on showing a Blue tick and a description to what the action is IE: Automatically turn on when the camera detects an event (movement) at night. Three things to check: 1. Make sure the detection zone setting has not been shaded in meaning camera cannot detect over 10 ft. 2. The only issue is you will not be able to view the footage without WI FI . You also need WI FI at the camera end and also your smart device eg phone / tablet to view footage live . The main reason I keep it on (wifi) is so I can dial in and look at the live streaming video on my camera which you are unable to if you turn it off.
