Is it easy to install to a house made of bricks? Does the solar panel battery charges and works properly during winter time? |
2023-06-14 |
Truthfully I was a little concerned when my camera was delivered due to the fixings being quite small. After all I wanted to attach the camera to a pebble dash wall & I was really concerned I'd lose a few mil of grip. It's been up since early spring now and no issues at all.
As for charging in winter? I can't honestly say as I've not had it installed a full year but what I can say is this. During late winter/early spring my battery would drop to maybe 78-80% (due to me playing with the new toy). But then you have one bright day & boom, 100% battery in a morning.
It's a great camera, highly recommended 👍 hope this helps.

How far the sensor detect? Did the app is free to use? |

How far the sensor detect? Did the app is free to use? |
2023-02-17 |
The images are clear 25 meters away but the sensor will pick up movement up to about 10-12 meters away. The app works well and is free. I receive images of delivery men arriving when I am 120 miles away. I can speak to them if I wish and can move the camera remotely to inspect my property. There is also an intruder alarm which can be set to sound if the camera detects motion overnight for example. Great camera and easy ti use app. |

It is always ready to record on any movement, you can set the sensitivity as well so it doesn’t record small animals for instance. I find it great because it alerts as soon as anyone is near and the battery lasts for ages but that depends on how often it gets activated and records, I love it and the app is good and easy to use. So I would recommend it |

2023-02-18 |
My understanding is that the camera picks up an alert when there is movement from the sensors. As there is a slot for a micro SD card you can commence the footage or even take the photo image of what is shown on the camera.
The camera will be live and pick up any movements and alert you via the App if you switch these on.
I’ve been very pleased with ours. They send me sn alert when anything happens. It will record it to the SD card and I’ve taken photo images of anything that I wanted to just check and then delete if not needed.
Battery life is good. I’ve just had the alert of low battery to recharge them after around 4 months but I suspect it would also be down to how many alerts and how often you switch to look at something like switching the light on and moving the camera via the App.
I’m not sure which model you have but mine are the ZS-GX1S & I would recommend them.

No lights coming on at night time, how do i get this to work please? |
2023-02-01 |
As far as I know, the light will only come on if triggered by something or somebody passing the sensors. After a couple of minutes it goes off automatically. Also check the level of sensitivity. Too low would also affect it. |

How sensitive is the night vision motion detection, I have one which constantly sends notifications when raining, foggy |
2023-05-04 |
It will pick up any slight movement in the camera lens, maybe move it to a more less sensitive area. Under a porch or overhang would probably solve the rain or fog problem. |

It’s battery powered, usb charging point in base of camera. I have found with average usage the battery lasts for approximately 3 months. Re charge approximately 8 hours. This camera is excellent value for money, easy to use via the app. When someone activates the camera you get an activation picture within 5-8 seconds on your smartphone. You can rotate, zoom, take still images or video at the push of a button, but as soon as someone activates it you get a still image. Would definitely buy it again. This is an honest answer based on experience of using this product. |

detecting intruder in garden
Will it identify an intruder in the garden? And at what distance, please? |
2023-05-24 |
Mine picks up children and adults at over 10 meters away. Which is fine by me and unlike my last camera it doesn't work with animals. Foxes etc. Which is also fine by me. It would probably detect at a further range but these are the parameters I have set. Hope this helps |

2023-05-24 |
It will detect intruders in your garden to a distance of around 10 metres if you have nothing in the way. If you have a car parked that someone can go around it won’t detect them until they’re pretty much 5-6 feet away from the camera |

The step to connect to network is to show the QR code on your phone to the camera not the other way. Your phone doesn't have to read QR code. It is an option to quicker find the correct app for this camera but you can search for it manually. |

My phone won't scan qr codes. can i still use this?? |
2023-04-03 |
If it’s the app you can just download it from istore or android. If you need the camera to scan a QR code, take a picture on your phone of the code and let it scan that and it should be fine. It’s worth getting sorted as it’s an excellent camera, the detection to phone notification time is between 3-5 seconds so great for parcel delivery and talking to visitors. Picture quality is also excellent. If you still have problems, contact the support team, I’m sure they’ll help you. |

The small USB connector is for charging up the camera and also to connect a solar panel to power, yes you can remove the connector that's under the camera, but I only keep my camera charged about 70%, to preserve battery life, so if you want to charge it permanently just switch off the power at 70% then when it runs down to 10%charge it up, hope this helps. |

Hi there, in answer to your question. The camera has a removable plug from the camera to the mains. The mains end has the usual 3-pin plug attached and the other end which plugs Ito the camera. When unplugged from the camera you will find it small enough to go through a ¼ inch hole and attach to camera. Hope this helps. |

This particular camera has a built in rechargeable battery, which allows the solar panel to keep it charged. If you want to use this camera without the solar panel you would have to take it down and recharge it via the usb cable, something that I personally wouldn’t want to have to do. Do you have a reason not to use the supplied solar panel, if so then maybe you should consider getting a hardwired camera? |

How do you get it to move between presets automatically? |
2023-06-18 |
This is for use on a iPad. You first of all have to set up the preset positions you want. This is done in the app whilst the camera is in operation. Move the camera to the preset position you want using the arrows then click on the 'preset position' button after sliding to the next page at the bottom of the screen. Touch the text 'Please input preset number (1-255}' which brings up a number pad and enter the number you want followed by 'Confirm' then 'Setup'. That position is then set up. When you want to go to a preset, follow the same procedure but instead of pressing 'Setup' press 'Call'. On the iPhone it's the same procedure but the settings appear differently on the screen and overlay the camera image.

Hi
I don't know the answer as mine is clear, however, I'm guessing you've removed the plastic cover from the lens? If so have you tried cleaning the lens? Is all the help I can offer sorry. |

Have you charged up the camera first, I think the instructions ask for the camera to be charged before turning on? |

Hi no I’m using Apple. I’m no sure the answer to recording however the quality is very good.
As for bird watching it only picks up human movements but you could watch as live in the moment. |
