I downloaded the app on my phone and after getting it matched with my router all was well. I positioned mine outdoors by the patio windows. Battery status and Wi-Fi strength are shown via the app. It worked quite seamlessly for me. I can now view the live camera mode on my phone. The app let's you set up the alarm times.
