I have quite a large garden and it is sited on my mancave at the top of the garden and it covers the whole garden. I first brought one for the front of the house and found it to be very good. So I got one for the back garden now too, my neighbour as a bright light on his house and it copes very well changing from pitch black to bright. The reason I did this is because I was advised the battery camera records motion not 24hours continuously so I think it depends on what your looking for if you want continuous recording order a wired camera if not get the battery. I am assuming you are connecting using the HiPro app via an iPhone. This app should find your camera automatically.
