Does the base and cameras hold a 64/128 gb SD card? What has to be connected to the base/ how often do the batteries have to be charged? | 2021-04-26 | Max 32gb SD card on both base station and outdoor camera. The base station connects to a standard 110V outlet with an included power adaptor. There is a 5V 1.5A USB port on the base station for charging the outdoor camera. You need to move the camera from wherever it is mounted to a position close to connect a usb cable for charging the camera. The base station connects to your router with either an ethernet cable or through wifi connectivity. Generally need to recharge batteries every couple of weeks. That is with the camera on 24/7 but only capturing 20 second video clips on trigger. You can schedule longer periods of video capture, but battery needs more frequent re-charge. | Norwester | 2021-04-26 |

Does the base and cameras hold a 64/128 gb SD card? What has to be connected to the base/ how often do the batteries have to be charged? | 2021-04-26 | You can put a card in the base or the camera. At first the battery sucked now its great. Haven't charged the cameras in weeks and one is still at 76% with about 8 notifications a day. The base stopped connecting to the router by wireless so I had to plug the CAT cable back in. | Keyser McNaughty | 2021-04-27 |
Does the base and cameras hold a 64/128 gb SD card? What has to be connected to the base/ how often do the batteries have to be charged? | 2021-04-26 | The maximum as per Wyze is 32gb micro SD. The reasons are mostly due to Windows FAT32 formatting ability or lack for larger than 32 gb. The camera wants a FAT32 formatted card. I will not take responsibility if you choose to use a 3rd party tool like "SmartDisk_FAT32_tool" - but in my case it worked and I am using a 64 and 128 gb micro SD card. The base needs power always, for initial setup it has to be also connected by ethernet to your router. The batteries on the cameras are rechargeable. They say 3-6 months depending on activity. One camera (driveway) needed recharging 2x inside 2 weeks, the other lasted 5 months. It is not meant for high traffic areas. I personally like the Wyze Cam V2 and V3 far better - the wireless is good for my backyard and that is about it. I don't know how long the rechargeable batteries lifespan is, I assume the fewer recharges, the longer it will last. | Double D | 2021-04-27 |
What's the range of the wireless connection? There is about 100 feet between my house where the wifi is and my garage where the camera will be. | 2021-10-07 | Some of mine are 50 feet, one is 20 feet and the other is 180 feet. They all work. The difference is your wifi. If it doesn’t reach out a wifi extender. That’ll make the signal stronger to reach the distances. | kasuperu | 2021-10-07 |

Mine kinda worked but not reliably enough to count on it for any consistent monitoring so I had to get a hub even though it was Fiber optic high speed connection | Jenn | 2021-10-08 |
what is the distance it covers | 2021-05-18 | About 100 feet if pointed straight out | dean w. | 2021-08-27 |
