The onboard storage is adequate without the HB3 but I encourage an HB3 with an added Hard Drive for a year or two of storage. It usually does a good job detecting Humans and faithfully follows them horizontally for almost 180°. Impressive.ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENTS: The A.I. alert performance calls for more refinement. Even with vehicle motion and random motion detection turned off, It still activates and follows traffic on the street or falsely detects humans that aren’t there. This causes excessive false alerts even with the sensitivity turned down. Why have a Vehicle setting that can be toggled on or off if it doesn’t work effectively? Additionally, it really needs greater up and down limits. Mounted about 7 or 8 feet high there’s not enough vertical movement range on the main camera and I had take it off the wall and slip a shim behind it. It still needs more range up and down and often cuts off heads on the lower camera, so I had to find a happy medium. I’m not pleased about that. I get constant nonstop false positive notifications for everything. A chair, a stationary bicycle, a tree, a shadow, a bucket, a hose reel. It thinks all of these are human. Even though I set sensitivity to the lowest level and select detect only humans, I am being inundated with notifications to the point where I have to turn motion detection and notifications off altogether.
