It acts as a dash cam when operating. However, the power cord connects directly under the mount making it impossible to unplug it without first dismounting it from the window. Second, it stays on even when the car is off, so if you forget to disconnect every time, you'll come out to a dead battery. My drive to work is only 12 miles, and yet the camera is fairly hot after a short time. Finally, it does not overwrite oldest files, so it just stops working and displays a red screen asking you to delete files. It does this while you are driving, so if an accident happens when the memory is full, you are just out of luck. It seems to record ok, but the poor design is a huge hassle. |
