The two 3rd party apps that it recommends to use doesn't have an option to connect to the dash cam, and the other app does not exist anymore. It does have good front and rear picture quality |
Originally the device had to use a 3rd party app that wouldn't connect to the dash cam that had me leave a 2 star review. I received an unexpected email from customer service that was very helpful and updated me of the official \COOAUDash\ app for the dash cam and I have to say, I'm really happy with my purchase now. The app is exactly what I was hoping for, it lets me see the looped videos and has separate sections for captured videos and captured photos. The picture quality is excellent also |

I just got it and installed it today. The process was simple, the tricky part was to find a good spot to mount it. My windshield has a shaded area on top of the rear mirror for protection or something that blocks part of the camera. So I had to move the electrostatic sticker a little bit to the right for a full camera view. I would feel better with a suction cup but I will see how long it stays up there. It’s good that they provide 2 spare adhesive stickers and 1 more electrostatic sticker.The wire was just the right length for my car space. I had to use a power bank to power the camera to check the right spot to mount it. The adhesive sticker seems very strong, I hope it holds tight even after I moved and re-mounted it.In the manual it says “spare stand not included”, I don’t know what stand that was.It took a while for my phone to connect to the device wifi, but once it’s connected, everything was smooth. And after that the re-connection was also easy and fast.I like the recording of map together with the front view.Haizz, disappointed that right after I received the camera, it has 10% discount.I may add more information about the picture quality after I use it for a while. |

Also, I would like the starting sound to be smaller but it seems loud by default and I couldnt figure out how to lower it.Haizz, disappointed that right after I received the camera, it has 10% discount.I may add more information about the picture quality after I use it for a while.For the last 3 months maybe, I noticed the message “fail to load videos” when I tried to view the clips on my phone. I could still load and copy the videos in the micro card to my laptop. Formatting the card didn’t help. This morning I accidentally unplugged the camera and somehow the videos loaded again on the app. Not sure if that really fixed the issue.So far, I love the camera for its convenience, compact size and the general image quality. |
