They offered me my money back. I accepted the offer (April 8) and since then nothing. Two other emails, one had to do with putting honey in a dish and set by the feeder to attract the bees (???) and the other one just a canned response that had nothing to do with my problem.Anyway, I dinged the stars. I will admit that I get a few pictures of hummingbirds. They are great pictures, but between a good hummer picture, I get 99+ nothing pictures and notifications. Also the battery doesn’t last long. I have to charge the battery every 2 or 3 days.Again, I want to stress that the hummingbird pictures that I get are really lovely. It’s just the overzealous motion detector that is a problem.And the last 2 weeks it’s the battery life that seems to be a problem.But more than that, it’s the support … they need to back-up the ‘money back’ or not bother sending the offer.ORIGINAL REVIEW:This was very easy to get set up and ready to use. I charged and tested it when I received it last month. Worked great, but it was time for the hummingbirds yet.Over the weekend I checked the migration map and saw that there were hummers in our area. I filled the feeder and hung it outside.No hummers yet … but the motion detector sends me notifications ALL THE TIME !! Even a little breeze gets a notification. So far today I have deleted around 500 notifications. And these motion notices have nothing to do with a person or animal walking by. The motion is the breeze moving the birdhouse / camera. I just can’t believe that it was designed this way.It’s too late to return (today is the deadline and too late in the day to return it) so I will have to keep it.I have my setting correct for low motion sensor. Have gone thru all of the other setting. I did schedule SLEEP mode during the night so I wouldn’t have a lot of notifications to delete in the mornings.I have a Bird Buddy camera that works great and I don’t get notifications all the time, only when there is a bird on the feeder. This is how I expected this one to work.Anyway, I dinged a couple of stars for this reason. I will review again if I’m contacted with a fix or if a software update in the app fixes this.It’s a good camera. Picture / video quality good. | EDIT:Solariom contacted me after my original review. They gave me some suggestions on how to stabilize the feeder and also offered my money back or a new feeder. I chose a new feeder. This new feeder / camera seems to work better and the motion detector appears to be less squirrelly! I have secured it better and I’m not getting the constant notifications about new videos and having to constantly delete the videos.They also sent me a solar panel to use with it! This should work great not having to charge the battery as often.Again, this camera takes great pictures of the hummers. Excellent video quality. My big dislike is cleaning this feeder is VERY difficult. The top is sealed shut, so the videos that show you can take the top off do not apply to this product. Being unable to clean the feeder thoroughly can be very dangerous for the hummingbirds. | Edited to add: Customer service really came through for me and sent two brushes with more curve to be able to clean this feeder much better.
