Most everything is switching to USB-C charging cables or still use the micro USB cables but these headphones have a strange cable. So I have to carry another cable around with me to charge these when I travel or when I may need to charge them. While I am talking about the bad the other thing I don’t care for this their size. They are ultra lightweight as advertised, but they are a little bulky compared to my Aftershokz bone conduction headphones. They make wearing my sunglasses uncomfortable while wearing them. Having said that the sound quality and functionality are great. The best thing I like about them is the battery life. I used them all day, over 10 hours, and when I checked the battery I still had a medium charge (I only get about 4 hours out of my Aftershokz). Honestly if it hadn’t been for the obnoxious new charging cable I would have given these 4 maybe 5 stars. But as with all things there are trade offs and if it sounds too good to be true then it likely is.Pro: Comfortable, pairs easily, has a good range, when you dont have ear plugs in decent highs and mids, water proof, unique experienceCons: Sounds quality diminishes greatly by not wearing the ear plugs. Diminishes to the point that it is like someone is listening to music in the distance. The lows are non existent. Proprietary charger. Cant lean your head back on say an airplane or couch without pushing the headphones off your head. Bleeds sound and not appropriate for populated quite environments.At the end of the day if you are expecting the same sound quality as in ear headphones you will be disappointed. The mids are fairly clear, but the lows bottom out even at a lower volume. When using the clear voice mode, there is virtually no low end, so it's much better for spoken word (podcasts or audio books), but then it tends to sound a bit like an AM radio signal. I prefer the bass boost mode even for spoken word. The volume can be very loud which of course bleeds into the surrounding environment, so they wouldn't be good for a quiet room if not alone. But for a crowded space with lots of background noise, they can overcome that volume and still leave my ears open to hear what's going on around me. The packaging is simple and nice, the instructions are easy to follow, and they paired quickly and easily to my phone and laptop.The bad: they come with a proprietary charging cable and not just a USB-C interface. The charging points are exposed at all times, not protected under a rubber cover, though they are on the underside of the right temple. If I were to lose this cable, or forget it at home when I travel, then the headphones are completely useless when the battery is drained. The play/pause/answer button is on the left (I'm just used to it being on the right).So overall, the sound is acceptable for spoken word, so-so for music, but the limitation of the charging point is too much to overcome.
