Not bee proof! Leaks nectar like a sieve... |
Feeder and camera were relatively easy to set up, and before the bees quickly arrived I got some decent video of hummingbirds using the feeder. The bees completely overwhelmed the feeder and often got stuck in the feeding ports or pushed through until they entered the nectar tray and bottle where they drowned. The nectar leaks out of the feeder very fast. There are other problems with the feeder, including false positives on the camera if you hang it and have even slight wind, but until the manufacturer makes some proper bee guards for the nectar ports I won't even be able to use it in my yard. |
