These earbuds were, simply, not satisfactory, and I have returned them. First, the earbuds were not comfortable, even though they look just like the ones I bought them to replace. My ears were noticeably sore after about an hour of wearing them. My biggest complaint, however, was that the multifunction buttons on each earbud worked very poorly or sometimes didn't work at all. Unlike the buttons on the pair I was replacing, which had a tactile "click" when pushed, the "buttons" on this brand are some sort of touch-sensitive device that does not respond consistently. That is, if one wants to play or pause, advance to the next track, activate Siri, or make/answer a call, there is a list in the instructions of various holds or "taps" to be preformed to perform the task. I tried many times to do various functions, and in almost every case either the task would not be carried out (phone/music would not respond at all) or the action would accomplish something other than what the tap or series of taps was supposed to accomplish. The most annoying "malfunction" occurs if one tries (as instructed in the instruction booklet) to "press and hold" the R button 2 seconds to advance to the next track. In many instances, rather than advancing the track, the internal voice comes in to say "powering off," and the earbuds shut down. It is then a chore to get them to power back up using the so-called "buttons."The sound quality of these did seem a tad better than on my previous pair, and if one is using them basically for music and he/she does not care about controlling playback or the phone from the earbud buttons, then I would say they might be suitable. I, however, use them primarily for listening to podcasts while riding a bike for exercise, so I need something that will reliably advance through commercials or allow me to answer a call without unlocking my phone screen or stopping my exercise to do these tasks.These earbuds, like my previous brand, do pair up easily, and they store in a nice case that allows charging both when the case is plugged in and remotely (case apparently has a battery for charging the buds when not plugged in). The charging cord is, however, very short and will require either an extension or placement of the case within 5"-6" of an outlet and charger.
