I had a crackhead steal the sensor off of my gate, and this little camera was exactly what I was looking for. I live on 4 acres and my home is over 100 yards from the road where Wi-Fi won’t reach. Even at night when it detected motion, it lit up the entire gate area like it was a stadium. Seriously a badaxx little camera, right?I should have known this was too good to be true. The data plans are VERY misleading to the consumer. I purchased the $139 “6 month enjoy plan” which says it’s for users who “often go online.”I had a few windy days which would set off the cameras with the moving tree branches so I went in to the settings and lowered the sensitivity and moved the angle of the camera. Long story short…I basically blew through the $139 six-month plan in six weeks which is unreasonable and unaffordable for the average consumer. It never even gives you a warning about how much data has been used. I reached out to customer service and they basically told me I needed to stop looking at the live feed so much. Ummm….not only is that the whole purpose, but how else are you supposed to adjust the angle??! Every time I received a notification, I would click on it, and it automatically took me to the live feed without me wanting to do so. I would have to go to the live feed to adjust the angle of the camera so it would stop going off. I eventually stop clicking on the notifications, hoping it wasn’t another crackhead stealing my stuff, and I still blew through the data.Also, customer service is definitely in another country so the app is set up where you can only reach out to them if you scan the QR code on the camera itself. I set it up high on a tree in the front of my property so it was a pain to have to go back out to the front of my property and climb a ladder to scan it in order for you to get any customer service response. Not a huge deal if your camera is easily accessible, but for me it was inconvenient having had a prior massive leg injury. I didn't want to break my leg again tbh and setting up the camera up high yields the best results.If you are going to place it somewhere WITHOUT trees which are consistently experiencing the natural elements of the weather (wind,rain) this is definitely for you. It’s really a great little camera. But for me it was useless.
