The charging indicator light is practically non-existent. When you do finally figure out that you need to take the camera into a dark roomand look through the white plastic for a very pale shadow of a light. It could be flashing only to see it flashing or solid green or blue or red. Red is apparent but blue and or green are extremely hard to see or distinguish from each other. In my case the unit continuously goes offline. It is the solar unit so should be charging. It’s now inside on a charger for the umpteenth time. If it follows suit, once charged it will flash blue but I will need to reset the unit (wait fur the red flashing light) uninstall the bird buddy app, and then re-install the app, process to get it to go back online. Not to mention the process of making sure the unit is in an area that communicates with Wi-fi. Very very frustrating for what is turning out to be just a very expensive bird feeder with no online capability that lasts more than a few hours at best. Maybe I got a dud but from reading all the reviews questioning the charging process I amGuessing this is normal for the unit.
